Qatar, DTulis.com - Brazil's Neymar said on Friday (9/12) that he was not sure he would return to action with the Samba Team after losing to Croatia in the World Cup quarter-finals via a heartbreaking penalty shoot-out.
"To be honest, I don't know. I think it's not right to speak now because the atmosphere is still hot," an emotional Neymar told reporters.
“Saying that this is the last time would rush me, but I'm not guaranteeing anything either. Let's see what happens next.”
"I want to use this time to think about it, think about what I want for myself. I will not close the door to play with Brazil, nor can I say 100 per cent that I will come back," he said.
Neymar's team-mate Dani Alves has said he will be retiring from international duty, but intends to stay on at club level.
Neymar put the South Americans ahead with brilliant play in the first half of extra time.
However, Croatia they managed to score three minutes from time, and then won 4-2 on penalties to qualify for the semi-finals where they will face Argentina.
